You should have known from your past or present experience, a missing or lost pet situation is extremely stressful. It is understandable as your pet is an indispensible part of your family and its well being is of great importance to you.
In case your pet gets lost and you don’t know how to proceed, below are few tips that can help you search your lost dog or lost cat:
- If your cat or dog just ran out of the door and now you can’t see it then keep your door open so that it can locate his way back. Also, leave a bowl of food outside the door.
- If your dog or cat is micro chipped, immediately report his disappearance. The sooner you report, the more are the chances that you will find your lost dog or cat.
- Call your lost cat or dog name while slowly wondering around the area. Your pet might be scared and may not want to come out. However, it may cry for help which will enable you to locate where it is hiding.
- In a cardboard box put some of your things like an unwashed t-shirt of yours or socks and keep it around the place where you think your pet might have gone. Your pet will be attracted to your smell and if it is close by, it will run to the feel safe.
- If there are woods around your home search there as well. Your dog or cat might have there in search for prey.
